Our current theme that we are gathering the experiences of parents and carers of is “Transition to Secondary School.”
We are very aware that there a number of improvements that can be made to this experience for families who have children with SEND. Many children make the move to secondary school smoothly, but for some, there are some bumps on the journey and we are keen to see how these journeys can be improved.
When we gather parent carer views, we hold some listening sessions and we also have an online survey. We combine our finding from these with our ongoing feedback that we gather. We present a verbal presentation to the Bolton Multi-Agency SEND Steering Group, and also present a formal report with recommendations for the area to respond to.
