Our Starting School and SEND Workshops are aimed at parents and carers who have little ones due to start school in September 2025 or 2026.
The content of the sessions covers the breadth of information that is needed – whether you have a little one who is early stages of identification and are wondering how primary school supports children with additional needs, right through to EHC Plans and Specialist Provision.
We cover SEN Support, which is the framework of support for pupils who have additional needs, this includes identification of needs, how pathways work and school duties on this. We also discuss EHC Plans, how this process works and when they are considered. We also cover specialist placements – what’s out there, and what the criteria’s are.

We only hold these sessions at this time of year to coincide with the online applications being open.
