Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools 2024-2025

The Project

Partnership for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools, or PINS for short, was a funded national project that was being run throughout the academic school year 2024-2026. The project was funded by the Department of Education and supported by both the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England.

PINS was aimed at Primary Schools, and offered the schools involved the opportunity to access bespoke support for their school to improve the experience of neurodivergent pupils. There was also the opportunity for parents and carers to be involved in the project too.

Bespoke School Support

Schools opted in to be selected for the project and and 6 schools from Bolton were selected. Following the completion of a school self-assessment, leads in each school worked with Sue Cornwell, Head of SEND and wider SEND practitioners to plan the schools bespoke programme. This was provided to school free of charge.

Parents and Carers

During the year, Bolton Parent Carers met with parents and carers at each school several times. These sessions were developed based on the needs of the parents in each school.

The project has now completed.
