Share your experiences. Shape what happens next.

As SEND Reforms begin to move forward, there will be lots of opportunities for parents and carers to have their say about what changes should look like here in Bolton.

We’re relaunching our parent carer discussion sessions with a new name: Share & Shape.

Each session will focus on a particular topic and give parents and carers the opportunity to share their experiences, talk about what is working well and what needs to improve, and help shape the conversations and decisions taking place locally.

These will be informal session, and you don’t need to know anything about SEND policy or the reforms before you come. What matters is your experience of supporting your child or young person.

We’ll be looking at topics that link into the SEND Reforms like Inclusion in Mainstream Schools, Developing a local universal offer and Supporting neurodiversity in schools.

We’ll use what you tell us to make sure parent and carer experiences are represented in our work with Bolton Council, health services, education settings and other local partners.
