As parents one of the greatest milestones we face is when our children start school. When you have a child with special educational needs, or think that your child may have special educational needs, this process can feel all the more scary – and that is where this workshop can help you. We have designed a workshop to help parents and carers of children who will be starting reception class in September 2019 better understand the journey – right through from choosing your school, the application process and how to plan for the smoothest transition.
We’ll discuss the process for children who have had needs identified and have an EHC Plan, or are on their way to a Plan as well as those that don’t have SEN needs identified, but as a parent you think this might be something that is apparent with your child, We’ll explain the process for mainstream settings as well as how places in Bolton’s special schools are allocated.
If you would like to book on this workshop please use the form below. If neither of these dates are suitable for you, we may be able to fit in some additional dates in January, so please let us know if that would be your preference on the form below.
The workshop will be held at The Bolton CVS Hub, if you aren’t familiar with the venue, click here to find out more
