In February we held 2 listening events where we invited parents and carers to share their experiences of their family’s SEND journey. The sessions are an informal way for us, as a parent carer forum, to gather local experiences.

We were also joined at the sessions by professionals from across education, health and social care – Sue Cornwell, Lead for SEND; Dawn France, Startwell; Sine Hall, transitions manager; Jane Pout, Children with Disabilities Social Care; Jo Higham, Commissiong Manager CCG; Bernie Brown, Director of People; Jenny Wilkinson, named NHS SEND professional.

These events offer us with the opportunity to gather lots of feedback from a variety of experiences, which we ensure is fed back strategically to the local authority SEND Steering group.

Once we have collated all the discussions we will pop it up here.
